This description intrigued me when I was reading it at the store. In fact, I almost read the whole thing before buying it! The thing is we all know a good thing when we see it and that includes methods of management. Dick Grote hits this spot on if you ask me. Not only does he lay down a PROVEN method, but he helps you back up all of the principles that you know you believe in, but haven't had the time to sit down and condense yourself.

I really like how Dick gives a solid reproducible method with time lines, forms, and meeting outlines. Even if you don't have problem employees, you need to read this book! It will add a dimension to your management philosophy and ability that wasn't previously there. Great managers know and understand how to motivate, train, and discipline their employees without it becoming punitive. Dick does such a great job of teaching you how to follow his method and successfully obtain a positive result while steering clear of unproductive punishment. Definitely a must read!
