Many of you know that my son Schafer was born with a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot when he was born in June 2008. He had open heart surgery in November 2008 to correct the problem and have his heart function like normal. I won’t go into details of that here, but I had my computer as I sat bedside for a long period of time blogging basically to keep friends, family, and others that had heard about him and wanted to stay connected somehow, in the loop with the emotional journey of a loved one going through a difficult time.
I am finding out that a large portion of the people I meet from other companies have or have had challenges and victories that should and need to be shared with other companies to help their businesses continue to grow. There are few platforms if any that are out there truly to facilitate this environment and maintain a certain integrity while not jockeying for position or to have an intent solely to gain business from someone else in the group.
People often ask us to explain our company culture, environment, and processes, knowing that we strive for excellence in every area. We aren’t perfect, but we do a lot of the things right. Diverse CTI has focused on doing the little things well, understanding that EVERYTHING we do matters. I thought that if I can use blogging to connect with people keeping them with me on this journey involving my sons condition then, and people want to know the “behind the scenes” about our company, then why not blog our journey as Diverse CTI continues to grow now?”
I will communicate not only about Diverse CTI being a provider of telephone systems or being a telephony expert; and our other various services and products, but our company culture, what makes our environment, struggles that we face, success and failures we experience, topics and discussions in our company meetings, and how we are growing as a team. I look forward to this journey together.
